The idea behind Little Prayer Box is to build a online Prayer Community hinged on prayer requests and intercession. We've made it easy to post a prayer requests online, or to keep up with friends’ prayers. This is done through "chains" which are actually comments on your prayer post. We use the word chains because we have big plans for which the term "comment" won't make sense. Keep an eye on the forums to learn more about our exciting updates. You will be alerted by email when you receive a Prayer Chain. You can also keep track of Prayer Chains in your profile. From there you can respond with comments, send a photo or song, or add a friend to the Prayer Chain. Though intercessory prayer is the hinge, community is the door. There are many tools to use for building robust groups and networks. First you will need to create a membership, which only takes a minute. Then you can set up your profile, upload pictures and music, and get ready to grow. So get to it!

The big idea behind Little Prayer Box is global Christian prayer for one another. This community believes strongly in the power of prayerand the transforming relationship it can have, not only between us and God, but also between people. Imagine a triangle with the top point being God and the other two points being people. As they pray to the center, they themselves are drawn closer together as they draw towards Christ. We believe it's a helpful thing to write down your prayer requests and to share them with others. Then when a prayer is answered, you can more easily remember it, glorify God, and encourage others with that special news. Of course our hope is for this site to grow way beyond a prayer blog. By using the many tools we offer - prayer rooms, Christian Forums, live video chats with family, sharing video, music and photos - you can build strong relationships and even discover new friends. We are also planning some exciting updates that will further deepen the experience, so keep your eyes open.

We hope that this will become a global prayer forum, where Prayer Box Members are praying 24 hours a day for our prayers online. The reason we have membership is to keep the prayer board moderated properly assuring that all receive proper respect. There are no small prayer requests, If you are in Christ you are a new child of God, and he hears his children when they ask and intercede for one another.

What is Intercessory Prayer?

Intercessory Prayer is to basically pray with or for someone; to offer your prayers on their behalf. Intercessory Prayer was very common in old testament, when profits and priests would mediate between God and man. But Christ became the great intercessor for us. He has closed the gap between God and man forever. Those in Christ are the family of God, and they can stand boldly before his thrown. Prayer intercession was also practiced in the new testament and is still very much alive today. It is a incredible gift - a gift we should take advantage of every day.
