Lord let us praise you in the storm

By Danny Welsh

"We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation" (Romans 5:3-4, NLT).

Did you know that the way you handle your adversities has a huge impact on your success in life? If you shrink back, choose to get bitter, and lose your enthusiasm, then you are allowing the difficulties of life to bury you. You are allowing hardship to keep you from your God-given destiny. But if you choose to keep pressing forward with a smile on your face, rejoicing even in the hard times, you are allowing God’s character to be developed inside of you. You are setting yourself up for promotion.

Did you know that the only difference between a piece of black coal and a priceless diamond is the amount of pressure that it’s endured? When you stand strong in the midst of the trials and difficulties in life, when you allow God to shape and mold your character, it’s like going from a piece of coal to a priceless diamond. Those difficulties are going to give way to new growth, new potential, new talent, new friendships, new opportunities, new vision. You’re going to see God develop your life in ways that you’ve never even dreamed!

Father in heaven, thank You for giving me strength to overcome every obstacle in life. I choose to rejoice no matter what may come against me because I know You are working all things together for my good. Thank You for developing Your character in me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

By Cindy Rowe
I would like to initiate a prayer of thanksgiving. Let us give thanks to our Father in Heaven for the blessing of life itself...for the blessing of health...for watching over us and our loved ones...for blessing our relationships...for the blessings of employment...for blessing the leaders of this great country...for blessing this world with thy love and peace...We love thee Father and we are indeed grateful for thy love and for all our blessings.

Foster Baby, well and at home

By Mimi Vancil
Thank you all for your prayers.  Baby Brian is home from the hospital and doing so much better. He was snug in his foster mama's arms last Sunday. Lord please keep your hand upon this child and direct his path in this life. May he know he is loved.

Health-Praise

By Esther Friesen
Thank you for your prayers concerning Gunnar. The surgery went well, they were able to manipulate his bones without any major surgery. He will be in a splint until Friday and then they will cast it. He was very brave. They said it was common to rebreak bones again.

prayer of thanksgiving

By Lori Andersen
I have so much for which to be thankful.  God, I don't often understand the way you work - they why of things that happen, but I continue to see your hand in my life.  I thank you for providing a roof over my head, food on my table, an amazing husband who loves me and friends who continue to be there.
So wonderful to see this great work that Ezra has started. It gives hope to see him back among the land of the living.
