Disaster Floods in India

By ezra v
Here is a letter from our partner in India. Please pray for his family and ministry that they would be safe.

Greetings to you in Jesus Name Amen,

Dear beloved brother how are you? Here we are all in danger with heavy floods in Andhra Pradesh, One district name Kurnool was already completely dissolved in water. We are thinking of Christians and non Christians there in Kurnool they need help, they need some food to eat and water to drink, government of Andhra Pradesh is trying to their level best to supply food for people, only few parts receiving food packets go to  You tube www.youtube.com link and type Kurnool Floods, you can watch the situation there in Kurnool, not only in Kurnool that flood water is already visited Vijayawada , Guntur, and many villages and towns, people, kids, old age women and every one leaving their houses , properties and every thing to save their life from floods, and reaching to the safety places likes hills , big cities etc.. Nearly from two days onwards no one eat anything, no water too. Please pray for our town Tenali which is between Vijayawada and Guntur and pray for those who are already in the net of floods. We had faith that God will save all of us and protect us from floods, where we are all praying restlessly by spending fasting prayers. If I have power here I will be in touch with soon.

Convey my greetings to one and all.

In His Service,

South India Ministry Needs Prayer

By ezra v

I had the pleasure of having email correspondence through little prayer box with Pastor Pravardhan Varma from Tenali , Andhra Pradesh SOUTH-INDIA. They have a wonderful ministry that brings food and the Gospel to many Orphans and families in South India. The ministry was formed in 2000 and has the vision and hopes to visit three towns a day, 365 days a year, with the Gospel and Food.

I asked Pastor Varma specific needs we could pray for here on the prayer box. He told me of two needs that they have been praying about for years. Please join us in supporting this beautiful Ministry of God with your prayer.

Here are their requests (from Pastor Verma):

1. To start Orphan Home for parentless

2. We need a old van to continue the Gospel on wheels project, we had Sound system , team and lighting but we are praying and asking Lord to provide a van for Ministry which helps us to visit not less than three villages and towns daily with Gospel for 365 days Amen. So please uplift in your prayers for these two requests may full fill soon for His glory Amen.

Pakistan – Young Christian Woman and Her Father Imprisoned

Photo SandulTwenty- year-old Sandul Bibi and her father Gulsher are in prison in Pakistan, charged with violating section 295-B of the Pakistani legal code, the "blasphemy" law. Sandul is falsely accused of ripping pages from the Quran. On Oct. 9 a large crowd of Muslims attacked Christian families at a church, throwing stones and firing guns. They were shouting, "Kill Gulsher and his daughter Sandul." Sandul and her father, Gulsher Masih, were arrested after a mob from the local mosque surrounded their house. Loudspeakers from different mosques broadcast accusations that Christians had disgraced the Quran, calling Muslims to attack and burn their homes. The angry crowd threw stones and set fire to Sandul's home. Christians believe Sandul and her father were targeted and arrested because they were aggressively winning villagers to Christ.

Sandul has written several letters to her family from prison. In her latest letter she says, "I am praying a lot that God releases me from here and I can meet you, but I don't know when. He will give answers for our prayers. Please pray for me." If convicted, Sandul faces at least four years in prison. She and her family desperately need your prayers and encouragement.

The Voice of the Martyrs has supported Sandul and her family both financially and spiritually through this difficult time. VOM encourages you to lift this family up in prayer and ask God to encourage them. VOM has featured Sandul on the group's Christian prisoner Web site, www.prisoneralert.com. VOM encourages you to visit this Web site and compose letters of encouragement and mail them to Sandul. You can also send letters to the Pakistani government requesting Sandul be released.

Missionaries

By Esther Friesen
Lord I just wanted to lift up all the missionaries overseas, and thank you for the work that you do through them. Father I ask protection specifically for Ray and Laura Pittman and their girls as they are facing floods right now in Fiji. I pray for the people in Fiji as well Lord, for many of them have lost their homes and 11 are reported dead from the flood.
I also lift up my friend Rachel that is in India right now, for protection for her and the group she is with. Lord I pray for all the christians in India from the attacks on them. Father there must be your work going on there for the evil one to react and we pray for your power to overcome this darkness, so your light can shine to the people of India.

John 17:20-23 Jesus Prayed...

By Laurie Whitlock

“I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.”
